Otter Point Productions: Branding Identity Design

Our Journey Together

Otter Point Productions approached us with an exciting challenge: to create a visual identity that captures the heart of their unique storytelling mission. Nestled in Vancouver Island, this film production company specializes in transforming the personal journeys of small businesses and entrepreneurs into compelling cinematic narratives.

Our collaboration began with an in-depth exploration of Otter Point’s core mission. Through candid discussions, we uncovered the unique narrative behind the brand—a commitment to telling authentic stories of local entrepreneurs and capturing the essence of Vancouver Island’s creative spirit.

Design Process

At the core of our approach was a deep commitment to authenticity. We wanted the logo to be more than a graphic—it needed to be a visual story that resonates with the passion and spirit of local entrepreneurs. Guided by these insights, we embarked on a collaborative journey of visual discovery. Hand-drawn sketches became our language, exploring the intricate relationship between the company’s vision and the region’s distinctive landscape.

Visual Narrative

The logo emerges from the rich landscape of Vancouver Island, with:

  • Fluid blue and green tones reflecting the region’s coastal palette
  • Curved forms suggesting the movement of waves and storytelling
  • A central camera aperture symbolizing the lens of human experience

The design intentionally intertwines elements of place, people, and narrative—representing Otter Point’s mission to bring genuine, emotionally connected stories to life.

More Than a Logo

This wasn’t just about creating a brand mark. It was about crafting a visual language that speaks to the courage of small business owners, the beauty of personal journeys, and the power of authentic storytelling.
